What does it cost?

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) reviews the prices of NDIS supports annually. As a result, our support services adjust prices in line with these pricing reviews.

If the prices of your supports have changed, NDIA also increases your available funds. This way you get the same number of hours available for you to use. You can always check the NDIS Price guides and pricing for the most updated information.

What types of supports are funded?

The NDIS may fund the following supports for its participant:

• Daily living activities
• Transport services for different community, social and daily life participation activities
• Employment assistance
• Therapeutic and Counseling supports
• Household tasks assistance
• Aids and equipment assessment from skilled personnel
• Eligible home modification design and construction
• Mobility gadgets and equipment
• Car modifications

Not all support services will be funded by the NDIS. According to the NDIS Act here are the services not covered by their funding:

• Services under the responsibility of another government system or community service
• Unrelated to the participants’ disability
• Daily living costs that are not significant to a participant’s needs
• Supports that can pose harm to the participant and other people

Can I access Early Childhood Intervention

For the Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI), the NDIS provided a national approach for 0-6 years old children to receive quick access for supports that are tailored to their needs.

Some of the interventions included in the program are health services, playgroups or peer support groups. They also provide access for your children to work with early childhood intervention providers in the short or medium – term. All of these interventions are geared to reaching your child’s developmental goals.

An individualised NDIS support plan is the best support you can give for your child with longer-term support needs. This way, your child gains access to the appropriate supports for a longer period of time.

For children aged seven years and over, the NDIS requires a different processing system.
